What I learnt about air pollution

 I have learnt that air pollution can give you sickness' and you can die from it. I also learnt that there are tiny particles called Pm.25 and there are smaller particles called ultrafine particles that can get in your blood stream. That's all!

How to stay safe from the sun

Before you go outside to enjoy the sun here are some tips for how to stay safe 

1. Apply Sunscreen 20 minutes before going outside.
2. Go into the shade of a tree or building.
3. Wear wide brimmed hats to cover you face
   
4. get sunglasses to cover you eyes
5. get clothing that covers your skin 

When you are done you can go enjoy the sun and play!

Togs or Trackies?

I think tourists should come in summer because you can have fun at the beach or in the pools. you can also climb the mountains and collect some flowers or get some tours of Christchurch/Auckland.

What superpower?

 If I could have a superpower I would have the power to bend time and reality. Why? Because if I am late to school I can turn back the clock and make it so I am early to school or I could bend reality and make me teleport to school.

Seven stars of Matariki

 There is a man called Mitai that has some older brothers. His grandfather teaches him how to turn into different animals. one day they all go out hunting. they find a island which singing is coming from. They go to the island and find some beautiful women. All the brothers except for Mitai are bewitched by their beauty. the women become the brothers wives but the brothers like them so much that they don't care for themselves and lose their beauty. Mitai thinks something is wrong with the women and one night all the women disappear and come back later in the day. Mitai asks his grandfather and his grandfather says to follow the women when they leave. he does that and finds out they want to starve the brothers. he goes to the brothers and tell them. they all make a magical net and capture the women when they leave. Mitai brings the women to the god of stars and tells him to put them very far away from earth. the god does but once every year he lets the world see them and their beauty.

What a free pet would do

math goals

 I have been doing some maths on prototec and some maths called beat the clock where you time yourself and I have made it to stage 7 on prototec even though i am a year 5 and now am doing all the different multiples of the numbers from up to 10.

20 day terraria challenge.

 Day 1 

I open up a terraria world and start playing the 20 day terraria challenge. I spawn in the plains with marly. I decided to find somewhere to make a house. So I chop down some wood and make a casual house, which is good because night is falling! I stay inside but sometimes I go and kill some zombies. One dropped a zombie arm that does 13 damage! Score! I quickly run inside because there are a lot of zombies and slimes and I have a gold coin on me. so I just talked with Marley. 

Day 2

The next day I decided to go mining. I go to a patch of dirt behind my house and decide to mine down from there. It is only when I go down into a cave system that I realize. I have no way to get up!

My only hope is to go down until I die but then I will lose my gold. I dig down and I find some tin. “Not bad” I say to myself until I find some silver. The thing was when I went over there the whole place blew up from explosives and I died. Now I am up at my house but my money is down there so I need to quickly build a rope and go down. I manage to find a cave with lots of vines and a chest with some rope, an umbrella to slow my falls and some recall potions with a spelunker potion. Great for my journey! I gather some mushrooms to eat when I am low on health and hop in with the umbrella. I put some rope up first though, so that if I am chased I can run back and climb instead of using a recall potion. I go to the explosion and pick up the silver, money and dirt. The explosion also uncovers a big cabin! I go in and get the loot. I find a skeleton in there though and we have a fight for the treasure but in the end i just beat him. I ate some mushrooms and recovered some health before I looked inside. There were just some statues, an anvil and a golden chest. I found a magic mirror, some health potions (“i could have used those!”) 3 dynamite and a bomb. I decided to keep the bomb so that a demolinist could come in. I use the magic mirror to go home and realise that 3 days have gone by! Day 5

 I use the dirt for a second story of my house. Then I see if it is suitable. I am going to make an anvil when I realise. I don’t have any iron. So I go down to the mines and dig down a bit and find a small vein of iron. What luck! When I go up though it is night so i quickly get inside and make an anvil. I make some bars of tin and silver and make a silver broadsword and a silver chainplate. I now have some protection and a good weapon. It is then that I realise there is some random person in my house. I go to him and realise he is the demolitionist! I buy a bit of dynamite and blow some up outside my house so that no enemies can get in. Then I make a bed and set my spawn.

Day 6

 The next day I go and do some mining. I find a life crystal and straight away consume it. Then I go home in case I die and lose stuff and make 2 new rooms. Then a nurse moves in! Now I have 3 npcs! I quickly go down the mines in search of a cabin.

 Today we did some music. We were learning about violins and pizzicato. When we got to the bows, we used the notes g, a, e, d and f sharp and made a tune with those notes. Then we practiced with the tune by ourselves and then we got some background music and played the tune. After that room 3 was there so we had to go to class.

 When the Year 6s left, I was relieved but the thing was my friends were going to

camp for 3 days and we wouldn’t be able to see them. When they left we went to room 3 and started with the roll as usual. When we were done we did some art called “marble art''.

Marble art is where you have 3 different colors of paint, 3 spoons, a marble and something to roll the marble in like a bowl with a flat surface or a container. When you have the bits and pieces, you put a piece of paper in the (bowl or container) and put some blobs of paint on the paper using the spoon. You should only have three blobs of each color on the paper. The next step is you put the marble in one of the blobs and move the (bowl or container) around so that the marble will roll around the (bowl or container). The marble should leave a trail of paint. The next step is to make a picture of it and then you’re done.

After we did the marble art, we left it to dry and while the others were waiting for a turn, me and manase did some tech deck stuff. After morning tea, me and manase came back and we got an idea of turning the tech decks into a stop motion video. We asked the teacher and got permission so we went and did some stop motion.

Stop motion is where you take lots of pictures of something but each time you take a picture, you move the object in a certain direction. Each time you take a photo, it adds the photo to a certain kind of album inside the animator and if you press play it will show the photos in an order of when you took them so it will show the first picture then the second one and so forth. When you are done your pictures should start to look like a video when played together.

When we were done with the stop motion we went out to lunch and when we were back we did some more marble work and it was kind of the same but we did some different things after. We cut the art into the shapes of the letters of our names then put it on a white piece of paper and if we had space we would cut out other shapes. 

When we were done with the paint, we had some free time then went home.

level 4 Lockdown

 I had got back from school and my dad told me that Jacinda decided to put New Zealand into lockdown. The rest of the day wasn’t different but the next day was different because we didn’t have to get up when we usually did and we didn’t have to get dressed. We could just be in our dressing gowns. On Sunday I got my chromebook delivered by Mrs Matt and the next day I got it out in the morning and started doing some work. It was weird, doing school work but not at school. The good thing though was we still got to see each other on google meets and the work wasn’t too hard. When it was the final week of Lockdown and I was at my oma and opas house, I made two stop-motion videos about what Among us games look like and then I made a video of me and my oma playing ukulele but no sound then put it on a video and added some ukulele music. When I got home the next day, I got my Lego out and made a stop-motion video where they are on an island but it is eternal night and when lightning strikes, something appears. The end of the video is to get on a spaceship and fly home. The next day we got up and remembered. Lockdown is over.

I made a ship made by combined vehicles. it has a boat, a helicopter that can go on water, a emergency ship,

a two wheeled tank but it's tiny and a bike, all fitted on to a Mothership. the mother ship itself can open up and show you the driving center and the command center.

Game ideas

 I was reading a book when I got an idea for a game. I don't know how I got it but the idea just suddenly came to me and so I wrote down the idea and I'm thinking, why not make the game have multiplayer and add planets. why not throw in some flamethrowers and portal making weapons. I've got all my ideas down and I'm still writing them.

I did a challenge and we had to show what we did in the lockdown and It had to start in alphabetic order so the first word would start in a A second one B and so on.

 I have done time tables and finished 6,7,8,9,10,11 and 12 times tables and most of them I got a diploma.

We walked so long it felt like we walked for a month of Sundays. When we found a tower of giraffes, I left him. Trying to spot him was like trying to find a pin in a haystack. When we had a final hug, I felt like he was as good as gold and I was giving him up for a good reason. When I couldn’t bear to look at them any longer I turned away,then I heard a sound and whirled around. I saw them running, as fast as an eagle and as free as the wind and I thought “I hope you like your new life”. Then I turned around and went back home.

I found a coding progam were you do coding and turn it into a picture. I made a snowman by using circles. you type in ellipse to make a circle and then put a (. after that you put in certain numbers to adjust its size and place. here is an example of what it looks like. ellipse(199, 121, 20, 20); when you finish putting in the numbers you put a ; at the end.

olympic podium

 Just yesterday I got a message saying that I had become part of the olympic team and I was so cheerful I fell out of bed :) . I read the message a bit more and my beaming smile went down a bit :( . I wanted to play soccer, but… I got badminton. At least I’m good at badminton and it turns out I was the best badminton player in all of New Zealand. Then I read that lots of people had become my fans and I felt radiant. The message was glowing so much I felt like I was in seventh heaven. I imagined myself In the grand finale and winning against Tokyo’s grand champion. I was so fortunate to get on the team.

Holiday fun

 

Me and my sister went to Fun zone and we went to laser force and when we got there we played some arcade games and mostly laser force. I came top player in two of the rounds. I also played a racing car game but I lost. I had two friends there and we all decided to be on green team in laser force but both of them once went on the red team. I didn't betray the green team though.

Holiday

My dad  and my sister went to get my grandad's old bed from his house and they would also pick up my dad's friend max and my oma and opa’s car so they could put a trailer on the back. Me, my mum and my baby sister would stay at home and have an ‘Evie and dad free’ day. When Evie & dad left, my baby sister went to sleep almost straight away and my mum and I did stuff on our phones. My baby sister slept for about 2-3 hours and at about 2:29 my sister and dad came back with the bed and max.after we moved the bed into my sister’s room, my dad went to go drop max and the car off and he left us with Evie. My sister went on the ipad, I went on the phone while Scarlett watched wiggles. at about 9:40 my dad arrived with kfc for mum and dad. before that, Evie and Scarlett were supposed to be asleep but Scarlett was being naughty and woke Evie up lots of times. when dad came back they were finally asleep.

First the duathlon was about to start and everyone was getting ready by stretching and having a bit of a warm-up jog. I was pumped and ready for the run/swim. I knew I wouldn't come near first place but I knew I wouldn’t come near last place too. Finally the duathlon started. I took off my socks and shoes in determination and went outside with the others to watch and run with the others. There was a big crowd of admirers and runners at the field. There were cones lining the path and a line of flags at the end. There was a stampede of children, ready to run the duathlon. The 10 & 11 year old girls went first, then the boys then the 9 year old girls then boys then 8 year old girls and boys. 

All About Me

My first name is Sebastian, my middle names are Antonius & Cosmo. I am 9 years old and turning ten on the 30th of November. Not only is it on the end of November but the end of Spring. My family is a family of five or thirteen if you count the pets. My mum’s name is Anna Rose and my dad’s name is Antony. I have two sisters, one of them was three on the thirteenth of February. My other sister is six and turns seven on the thirteenth of August, three days after my mother’s birthday. My dad’s birthday is on the 21st of March. We have eight pets, one kitten, one puppy, two cats, two rabbits, two fish. The rabbits' names are Oulbie and Noho. Noho lives outside my room and Oulbie runs around outside the house.
